Hands down, this is the best pearlized ball we have ever created in the HP3 line to date. Between the core and cover, this ball will take down almost any condition you want to throw it on. Ideal for those Medium to Medium/Heavy conditions with some friction Bisible, this ball provides superb performance from almost any angle on the lane. And just like any pearl ball, it can be sanded to battle a bit more oil if need be.
Strengths
The Idol Pearl has an impressive amount of overall hook for a polished pearl. If the pearlized symmetrical ball in your bag isn't covering as many boards as you would like, this ball is the answer.
Weaknesses
There is little we didn't like from the Idol Pearl, but it was a little difficult to control off the breakpoint on longer fresh patterns.
Overall Summary
The Idol Pearl is a great addition to the HP3 line for Roto Grip. The change in cover and box finish give the Idol Pearl more length and more angle off the breakpoint than the original Idol.
