The Intel Tour features the same core as the original Intel. With an RG of 2.483 and a relatively low total differential of 0.032, it produces controlled flare and a smooth, dependable reaction, making the Intel Tour an excellent benchmark option for both league and tournament competition.

The biggest innovation is the new Hyper Control Cover. Designed to produce the desirable midlane roll associated with urethane, it is not a urethane or NU cover. Instead, HC absorbs oil like reactive resin while creating a smooth, controlled, urethane-like ball motion. This gives the Intel Tour a valuable place in the arsenal when high-friction conditions make stronger reactive equipment too aggressive.
