Game Breakers continue to dominate the mid-performance category, and the new GB4 Hybrid might be the most exciting release in this line yet. Adding the HK22 base to a hybrid Game Breaker means versatility and strikes – lots of them. Strengths
The Game Breaker 4 Hybrid is very impressive when it sees friction. The low RG core shape and the new HK22-based version of the GB 12.0 Hybrid cover provide a good midlane read with a strong and continuous back end motion.
Weaknesses
The glossy box finish keeps this ball from being effective on heavier oil until after it has seen some significant transition. It was also a bit oil-sensitive on our fresh sport pattern. In both cases, sanding the surface can help increase the ball's effectiveness.
Overall Summary
The Game Breaker 4 Hybrid was cleaner and more responsive off the dry than the duller Game Breaker 2. It fits nicely with the rest of the line as a step down from stronger balls, or to provide more downlane pop than smoother, weaker options.
