The Verge line has consistently delivered for DV8 ballers, lane dwellers, and alley cats. The Verge has evolved and is one of DV8’s most reliable lines. Recently, the Verge Solid provided the most hook the DV8 line had seen, creating the need for a longer and more aggressive ball on the backend, which is why the Verge Hybrid was developed. The HK22 base takes the Verge line to the next level by creating symmetric performance that handles oil better for a shiny ball and responds harder to friction. Bowlers will need a Verge Hybrid in their bag to combat any medium condition, or they’ll get left behind.

Strengths

The Verge Hybrid is smoother than other HK22 bowling balls. We were able to stay straighter near the track area than we could with balls like the Hellcats, Collisions, or Trouble Maker.

Weaknesses

The Verge Hybrid struggled in our testing when used with open angles. Even after friction built up in transition, our results were better when we played a little bit straighter.

Overall Summary

The Verge Hybrid offers bowlers a step down from balls like the Brutal Collision, the Trouble Maker, and the Chill. We saw a better reaction when we could be straighter in the front and didn't need to go around the lane more.
